Established and strengthened alliances with institutions, organizations and private sector, local and national governments, international cooperation agencies (including USAID), NGOs, universities in Honduras and in the Region by maintaining transparent communication channels and providing regular progress updates; served as a thought leader within the organization, staying abreast of emerging trends in project management and resource mobilization methodologies; provided support to the University in the initial stewardship of new projects and programs; explored, analyzed and presented Zamorano with recommendations on new funding opportunities offered by cooperation agencies, bi and multilateral organizations, private foundations, private sector, and others; developed comprehensive project proposal preparation plans outlining scope, budget, timeline, and deliverables to ensure successful submission to different donors; ensured the maintenance of an M&E system; mentored the Project Management Office team members in best practices, fostering a culture of continuous learning within the team; negotiated and managed third-party contracts related to project deliverables.

Led program/project design and development to ensure quality and compliance with CARE norms and standards at the country, regional, and global levels; coordinated with Country Director and lead Resource Mobilization efforts with support from technical teams in charge of different programmatic initiatives, as well as efforts related to the design, planning (technical and financial), implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of programs that effectively address the underlying causes of inequality; responsible for guaranteeing ongoing relations with different national and international actors, as well as public officials, donors, international organization staff, national associations, private sector, and academia; managed CARE program team and motivated employees to be productive and engaged in work; took on the role of Country Director in the cases the Country Director is out of the country.

Contributed towards the alignment of the National office with the CARE LAC Regional Strategy and CARE’s 2020 Vision, incorporating the strategic priorities, approaches, and models; Legal representative in the country; led CARE's strategy and operations in Honduras; positioned CARE as a partner of choice and an influential voice in reducing poverty and social injustice; led Country Office-CO strategy development process responding to the LAC program Strategy and Care International Program Strategy; responsible for fulfilling the approved 'Performance Standards'; oversaw the development, funding and implementation of the CO program portfolio; established and sustained productive relationships and political influence with government officials, donors and strategic partners; led the CO fundraising strategy and ensured CO financial viability; was accountable for competent operational and risk management.

Managed Christian Aid (CA) partnerships and programs and the effective disbursement of funds, monitoring and reporting in-country; contributed towards the development of CA policy and strategy in Honduras; represented CA nationally; engaged with donors; managed agreed budgets and contracts for the Program; developed fundraising proposals; provided support to partners based on frameworks agreed with country team; maintained effective relationships with other country staff in the region and with program, humanitarian, and fundraising teams in London; appraisal, monitoring, and reviewing of program in line with CA and external requirements; developed procedures and systems to ensure effective monitoring, administration and support for the program team and projects.

Acted as Americas Region focal point for Implementation of the Global M&E Initiative focused on developing the Organization’s Impact Measurement System; contributed towards the development of an Integrated Indicator System to guide planning and M&E processes for the National Office; was responsible for the establishment of M&E systems and relevant tools for data management of health, education, and youth projects and programs; led Development Sector Program Management International Certification processes for at least 40 ChildFund team members in Honduras, the U.S., and Dominica; trained ChildFund Honduras and Local Partner staff in the use of relevant strategic planning and M&E tools; provisioned technical support in the formulation of grant proposals and reports for different donors.
