Perform duties and responsibilities concerning the vessel's safety, carrying weekly, monthly maintenance and annual inspection along with authorized technicians on LSA, FFE & GMDSS Equipment; leading both aft and anchorage operations as specified, as well as preparing the vessel for international voyage.

• Perform duties and responsibilities concerning the vessel's safety : Weekly and Monthly maintenance to all LSA and FFE equipment, Weekly and monthly tests to GMDSS Equipment, planning drills and trainings, in charge of the Voyage Plan, leading aft mooring station during berthing/unberthing operations, in charge of Anchorage operation
• Involved in both inspections of US Coast Guard (Port state control) and ABS Class (American Bureau of Shipping) , along with the Bridge Team

• During the first two months worked in the general maintenance, mooring operations (Forward Station mainly) , and was part of the Firefighting team
• After completing the two months I was assigned to work specifically on the bridge as a Quartermaster, where I had a watch with two OOW, also having the chance on working with the Safety Management System, Navigational Equipment, GMDSS, and assisting as volunteer in the maintenance of Firefighting equipments and Life Saving Appliances

• Perform duties of both an AB and Second Mate as part of the training prior to getting onboard a '500 GT' > type vessel engaged on international voyage

• Perform duties as an AB onboard the high-speed craft, as well as maneuvering the vessel under the supervision of the captain to make a pleasant voyage for the passengers

• Along with the inspectors of Port State Control, the main purpose was to ensure the international vessel's were complying with international regulations as established by the IMO
• Key Responsibilities : Carry Inspections accordingly with the Resolution A.1138 31 Procedures for Port State Control onboard, focusing mostly on the correct functioning of the equipment in the Navigational Bridge
• Ensuring the international vessel complies with minimum requirements as established by the IMO
• Ensuring the international vessel complied with all the FAL documentation
