In Connect, I helped translate the business plan and direction into a technical vision.

This included architecture design and deployment (through version control and CI/CD, using IaaC), as well as low-level design and development of the various services and backend components that the ecosystem relied upon.

This also included designing and implementing a plan to become PCI-DSS compliant. This was done by both adopting and enforcing a security framework, as well as through infrastructure changes that allowed us to transact with PCI data.

• I deployed cloud infrastructure and distributed systems on GCP, which included containerized services configured for autoscaling and private connectivity
• Configured networking infrastructure which included VPC setup, private networking for sensitive infrastructure and services, as well as shared resources such as redis and a series of database instances
• Worked on the development and maintenance of core product services. These included a public API, a private application API, a series of backend microservices, and a series of workers (i.e. daemons)
• Collaborated with the CEO and CTO on defining business requirements, and translated those to workable requirements from a security, scalability and business logic standpoint

In my time as an Engineering Architect in PartnerHero, I contributed to the design and implementation of numerous software projects for both internal tooling as well as client-facing products.

One of these products was a generate AI product that was used by CX teams. The product would look at parsing and understanding the context of incoming end-user requests, and suggesting responses. The product would read from a series of inputs which included Zendesk help centers, articles on Guru, and different supported file types. Teams would also use this product to continuously update and improve their knowledge bases, as well as provide feedback on the suggestions our tool was giving.

• Helped product teams translate business requirements into technical direction
• Designed and deployed infrastructure based on product requirements. This would be done using infrastructure as code - particularly Terraform
• Deployed and maintained CI/CD pipelines for multiple product teams using Github actions and third-party vendors like SonarCloud
• Contributed to the development and maintenance of application source code, as well as the ongoing review and integration of new code
• Maintained quality control standards and procedures for code integration, code security and styling guides

On my time as Director of Engineering, I lead an organization of around 30 software developers and around 10 QA engineers.

The software developers were split into different product teams which worked on a combination of enterprise software as well as internal tools.

The QA testers were divided between internal QA and billable QA, where billable QA was fundamentally SQA outsourcing.

• Designed and implemented a career calibration framework that had the objective of being fair, compatible with IC and management roles, and was tailored to remote teams
• Implemented a series of security and process SOPs across the product teams. These included standards for code integration, the setup of code and vulnerability scanning tools, as well as the deployment of a remote developer environment
• Worked cross-functionally across all product teams in assisting with the design and deployment of new features
• Led an initiative to track P&L on our billable QA teams more effectively, which eventually led to the consolidation of some of our QA offerings
• Worked with the executive team in identifying business priorities, and ensuring those were aligned with the Engineering department's efforts

In my time as a full stack engineer in PartnerHero, I developed a number of custom tools for Operations. These were used by the internal teams for data collectiong and reporting, as well as for workflow automation on some of our partner's APIs.

As an Optimization Analyst, I was tasked with finding opportunities for workflow optimization across the different Operations teams in PartnerHero.

This role was a blend of automation, internal tool development, as well as BI and reporting.

• Developed internal tools that were used by teams to automate repetitive workflows
• Built custom reporting that was used both internally and externally
• Developed data collection and archival pipelines that were used for powering BI reports
